Environmental Sustainable Design
Project 1
Paying It Forward
(Exploring the sense of environmental engagement as future designer)
The aim of this project was to increase awareness of current local environmental issues. We were given to identify an environmental community related issue in the local community.
Our Proposal
Philea home is an oprhanage home managed by Mr and Mrs Yoges, registered with the State Welfare Department in Klang. The orphanage/refugee house provides a suitable environment for homeless children who have been abused.
Our project was aimed to improve the living conditions for the children of this house by producing useful multifunctional furnitures from waste materials.
At the end of the project, we have produced a complete documentation of the project from proposal upto completion. This project gave us the ability to demonstrate problem solving skills and recognise our role and responsibility as an architect towards environment and society.

Project 1
Nature and Us
The aim of Project 2 was to increase awareness of current environmental issues locally and globally, and explore the local and global context of growth.
We were given to complete a journal (group task) and a relecflective essay (individual task) based on our observation and interpretation form the site visit to Taman Negara.
This project helped us recognise the effect of growth on the environment and the concept of envionmental and ecological sustainablity.
